Please join the 96th Street Branch Teen Advisory Group in welcoming Jane Alberdeston, poet and one of the three authors of Sister Chicas, a new novel about three teenaged Latinas growing up, falling in and out of love, friendship and more!


Sister Chicas authors to appear at the Latino Book & Family Festival

The authors of Sister Chicas will be appearing at the 8th Annual Latino Book & Family Festival in Chicago on November 11th & 12th.

This major event celebrates the diversity and importance of our multi-cultural community by promoting literacy, culture and education. Their appearance is being be sponsored by Catalina Magazine.

The authors of Sister Chicas will be part of the Catalina "Essence of Latinas" 2006 national tour.

Join us for the kick-off reading to celebrate the national release of Sister Chicas! Lisa, Ann and Jane will be sharing their favorite selection from the novel and meeting audience members and answering questions afterward.
